Chailey’s MP, Maria Caulfield, and Conservative County Councillor, Matthew Milligan, have visited Chailey Heritage Foundation for a tour of the facilities.
They were given a tour of the school and met some of the pupils. They were then showed around the leisure facility for young adults, where they met young people in the gym and those taking cooking and art sessions.
Helen Hewitt, the Chief Executive, also had chance to update the visitors on some of the interesting topics the charity is currently working on.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I Really enjoyed meeting everyone at Chailey Heritage Foundation along with the local County Councillor, Matthew Milligan. It was fantastic to see up close the incredible work that Chailey Heritage Foundation do every day for their pupils and how dedicated the staff are in their work. I look forward to working with them in the future to support them in any way I can.”
Cllr Matthew Milligan said “It was wonderful to have the opportunity to see the important work that Chailey Heritage do, the staff are clearly passionate about providing the best possible care and support to these young people and I will do all I can to support them as their East Sussex County Councillor.”
