Wivelsfield MP Maria Caulfield has cut the ribbon to official open the newly refurbished Village Hall and thank the Village Hall committee for their amazing work on the renovation.
Improved facilities at Wivelsfield Village Hall include, a new larger and more secure entrance hall, new disabled toilets, separate children’s toilets, public toilets, a modernised kitchen, a new parish office, new storage facilities, and updated outside lighting to improve safety. Maria Caulfield MP was joined by past Chairmen, original hall fundraisers, local parish councillors, club representatives, committee members and Wivelsfield’s County Councillor Matthew Milligan.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I want to thank everyone who has worked so incredibly hard, from Cameron the committee chairman to Liz and other members of the committee who have transformed Wivelsfield Village Hall into this wonderful more modern building that will serve the local community in Wivelsfield for many years to come.”
“It was an honour to be asked to attend and to cut the ribbon to official open Wivelsfield Village Hall. I was pleased to be able to join so many residents to get a glimpse at the excellent facilities now on offer. I am sure that the clubs and committees who presently use the hall will be much better for it and that it will also attract even more users.”
